Highly recommend signing up to Spanish Blackboard Academy if you’re thinking of learning Spanish!! I tried teaching myself Spanish but I found it so hard so I decided to sign up for group classes and was the best decision ever!! Valeria is such an amazing teacher and I’ve met some amazing people through the classes!

After starting my learning in Spain, I was worried trying to learn Spanish in Australia wasn’t going to be effective. But my private Spanish Blackboard lessons with Lucía have proven me wrong. I am genuinely improving because the structure and pace is the perfect balance of challenging but not overwhelming. Lucía is so so encouraging and inspires me to keep learning (even when I’ve made the same grammatical mistake for the 3rd time 😂). Laura, the school owner, is very organised and reachable, and you can tell she has a passion for what she does. Thankyou Laura and Lucía!

Had an amazing experience with Valeria teaching the A1 class. She is a very engaging and fun teacher, but is also extremely patient and takes the time to properly explain everything and answer questions. You can tell she really cares about her students and class. Highly recommend and I’m excited to continue on to the next class level here!

Truly having the best time learning with Spanish Blackboard! I had been doing duolingo for around 2 years before I switched to this, and the in-person classes with other students have made a HUGE difference. I did a level test to work out which level to start at, and I was nervous because I hadn't had many conversations in Spanish, but Laura was so lovely and welcoming! The level test is quick and totally worth doing if you have any prior experience. I did my A2.1 classes with Adriana (Barcelona), who is an absolute delight - she's super funny and engaging, and explains concepts in a way that's easy to understand. I've learnt more from her in the past 10 weeks than I did in 2 years of online language apps, and I genuinely cannot recommend it enough. I'll be back next term for more Spanish!

I have loved my Spanish lessons with Spanish Blackboard. Our teacher Paula is great, she is engaging, fun and always happy to answer any questions. She makes the class environment a positive experience and I look forward to class each week. I feel as if the classes have built my confidence in reading, writing and speaking Spanish. As someone who is a complete beginner, this has been the perfect introduction to the language and I cannot wait to enrol on the next course!
