I enjoyed the food on the whole but could probably go next level with a few tweaks. A really nice venue with live jazz. Service was pretty good accomodating our dietries. We had the signature dish picked multi menu. I probs need to keep reminding myself itโs a wine bar that offers food not a restaurant.
Found room for one on a busy Friday night which is always appreciated! Friendly staff member serving and the tuna carpaccio was great, the SA wine flight enjoyable and the follow-up wines that the team chose based on what I liked were great. Lots of hard surfaces so a bit noisy but the place has a nice vibe itโs clearly well loved by the locals as a place for couples to have dinner and friends to catch up.
Once you get the young staff's attention the service is friendly and relaxed. The wine list is pretty good too. The place was buzzy with a live band. The food was the only meh moment. A salmon tartare of sorts had the bland flavour of a 70s prawn cocktail, while halloumi bites in honey were the texture of tofu. Great people watching.
We had a valentines dinner with a pre selected 3 course menu. Every dish was beautifully prepared, flavours were wonderful and we loved every bite. Our hosts were all lovely with great knowledge on our dishes and wines and took great care of us. The restaurant has a lovely warm, quiet vibe, and we're already planning on bringing friends here when we return.
We came for dinner with our dog, so took a seat outside - unfortunately missed the live jazz played inside. The service was great, the food OK. A bit on the heavy side (a bit too much cheese, mayo and deep fried tortilla chips). The selection of wine by the glass was not that extensive, either. But overall still a good option. The neighborhood around Rundle street felt amazing - shame we were in Adelaide only for a few days.
