Ordered a selection of tacos, flavour was really lacking and each was absolutely soaked in oil, Meat was dry. Seems a shame as lots of positive reviews for this place which is why we went but as much as we love Mexican food I think we"ll be giving this place a miss next time.

The Beef Birria is out of this world! Delicious, tender and just the right spice with flavourful condiments. How did I not know about this place sooner is my loss!! Not anymore. Keep it up ladies. We will be devotees. What a win for Launceston. Unfortunately the birria I got last night had no salsa, no topping at all and a half filled taco with burnt meat. Maybe Friday nights are too busy for them to manage consistency.

A really disappointing experience this evening, and unfortunately a few times lately. We have ordered 4 times (I think) and each time the food quality has been slipping. Tonight our tacos were extremely burnt and the Birria was more like a thin weak soup, rather than something that is normally rich and full of taste. The hot chips the last couple of orders have basically been inedible due to the amount of seasoning on them. $75 later, crap food. We won’t be ordering again, which is really disappointing given the first time was delicious.

It's been a hot minute since I've gone out to eat, but my god it was worth visiting Charcoal Chapos! I got the border box and I kid you not, it was some of the best food I've ever eaten (meats, sauce and rice were 🤤 ). 4 tortillas, 3 different meats, 2 sauces, spanish rice, slaw, fresh salsa and fries (Had to eat over 2 sittings as there was just so much in there). The service was fantastic too, would highly recommend! Worth every cent and then some!
