I just stepped out of Café Blanco, and I really needed to share how extraordinary this experience was. First, a huge thank you to a complete stranger named Peter. He noticed that my sister uses a wheelchair and that we couldn’t get in because there was a step and no ramp. Without hesitation, he went above and beyond—along with another gentleman from the café (who I believe is the manager) and helped lift her in. That’s no small thing: we’re not small in my family, and the wheelchair is heavy. Once inside, a lovely couple even gave up their seats for us. We then had a fantastic lunch, the toasted salmon, especially in this heat, was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant, which made the moment even more enjoyable. It’s truly a great place to stop, relax, and enjoy a coffee. Then, because I’m incredibly forgetful, I managed to leave my phone behind. Enter another angel: Andy. I needed to call a special taxi, and somehow, miraculously, she had a number. On our way out, Jose and Andy helped take my sister out safely. And as if that wasn’t enough, we even gifted viennoiseries to take home. I honestly don’t have enough words to explain how special and blessed we felt today. Thank you to everyone at Café Blanco—especially Jose and Andy, and of course Peter, who started it all and made this beautiful chain of kindness happen. Some days restore your faith in people. Today was one of those days. 🤍

Great redbrick coffee and top notch food! Super friendly service is the cherry on top.

This is a great little cafe. Not an extensive menu but everything is delicious and the staff are lovely. Very relaxing vibe too. The outdoor areas are shaded which is great on a sunny day.

Loved this café! Super clean inside, the coffee’s awesome and the desserts are so good. The food tastes really fresh and made with care. The owner is super friendly and the regulars are lovely too — we had such a fun time chatting. Honestly, one of the best cafés in Canberra!

I’ve been a regular at Cafe Blanco for over a year now. You’ve created such a warm and inviting space to not just order a daily coffee to go, but to have a warm and inviting space to have conversations and catch ups. Regular specials and updates to the menu keep it different, whilst still maintaining the things I love. I’ve been coming for a soup every day since they’ve brought out the weekly specials. The potato & chorizo soup exceeds my expectations every time I order it! Thank you to all of the beautiful staff who always greet me with a smile, and every day put out such positive and beautiful energy. Thank you for providing our community with such a great cafe!
