Today I visited Big Papi Cocina in Coolangatta once again and this time came in for brunch, since they’ve now started opening in the mornings for breakfast and lunch. I had the chorizo and egg sandwich, a fresh dulce de leche–filled donut, and a perfectly made cappuccino — absolutely spectacular. Every bite was spot on. I’ve been to this place several times, and every visit delivers. Previously, I tried their carne asada taco (Angus steak) on the very first day it was ever offered, and it was truly incredible — A1 quality meat and amazing flavour. This place never disappoints. To top it all off, the chef personally came to our table to ask for feedback, which felt genuine and very graceful. Outstanding food, warm service, and consistent excellence. Highly recommended! This place is the BEST hidden gem on the Gold Coast… the food is insanely delicious and an experience within itself. The cocktails are delicious too! I have never met a friendlier hospitality team either, just a 10/10 place all round! I also just visited this morning for their new morning menu with coffee, donuts and sandwiches and just when you thought Big Papi’s couldn’t get any better…. This place is THE BEST!

Had an AMAZING meal at Big Papi's. Best Taco I've ever had, the pork belly was fabulous, best empinada ever and the kingfish cerviche was to die for with the leche de tigre being gingery and spicy. Service was excellent too. Well done guys, highly recommended!

5 Stars – Exceptional Experience! We had an incredible time at Big Papi! So good that we had dinner on Friday and right back for lunch on Sunday. The food was absolutely outstanding — the paella was amazing, packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The ceviche was fresh and delicious, and the prawn and pastor empanadas were phenomenal! You can really tell the quality of the ingredients they use; everything tasted so fresh and authentic. Portions were generous, and considering the high quality of the food, the value for money was excellent. The drinks were just as impressive and complemented the meal perfectly. A special shoutout to our waitress Kathy, who was as lovely and attentive as always — she definitely deserves 5 stars herself! Highly recommend Big Papi for anyone looking for amazing food, great service, and a fantastic overall experience. We’ll definitely be back!
