The staff are always incredibly attentive (Cosco & Alberto), which makes the customer service truly excellent. The drink and product tastings are a standout, love a gordal olive in my 50/50. Itโs such a great way to try new, interesting, and unexpected things (think white anchovies or boquerones, which Iโd normally avoid, but these were absolutely delicious). Consider me sold! The venue itself is warm and homely, a total sensory overload in the best way. Itโs also an amazing pantry and bottle shop if you feel like taking home a little piece of Europe to enjoy later. The whole team makes you feel genuinely welcome and is always up for a chat, including Dave, the owner. Dave knows every product on the menu inside out, its history, origin, and exactly what to recommend based on your taste buds. Even our dog loves the place! But Dave, mate, please bring back Mumโs homemade Basque cheesecake. Delicioso. We regularly pop in on a Friday on our way home, and itโs definitely become a favourite for all the reasons above. We recently had birthday drinks here with friends who hadnโt visited before, and they loved the food, drinks, and overall experience. Converted! Thanks, guys.
This place is really enjoyable. I went on a girls arvo during the weekend and we loved the vibe... it's not purely italian, so do not expect full on italian experience, the place is eclectic and while you see Italian, you listen to bohemian central/latin american music (son cubano, bolero, old school salsa). Perfect match! Good selection of cocktails and snacks. We were not hungry and some had dietary restrictions yet, in this place you MUST buy food, which I think it should be a client's choice ONLY. -Cheese boards are a over the priced for what you get.- Other than that, Vermuteria Bar is a place worth visiting.
I really love the atmosphere and music in this place. I like the small plates that you need to order with your drinks. It has an excellent vibe and I would definitely go back. I highly recommend happy hour ๐
Used to frequent this place years ago when it was a coffee and churros cafe. Visited again and now as a Spanish tapas bar. Atmosphere, service, drinks and tapas selection all great and on point. Definitely one to put on your list to visit.
It's an absolute gem of a spot. We wandered in after a relaxing afternoon, and this was just what the Dr ordered. Hosts that make you feel like family, uninterrupting, and so relaxing. We picked and grazed through the menu and loved the happy hour drinks. The vermouth as expected was fantastic. The ambience was just fab, darker lighting, relaxed, and great tunes on keeping with the heritage vibe. It was a place to just enjoy the evening as it unfolded, loved it.
